From 4e32438d6bafe3ef2a50030de54c9398d0abd7e4 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: abrichr Date: Thu, 5 Nov 2026 12:51:15 -0500 Subject: [PATCH 1/5] Intake prompt injection: bind MCP tool params to provenance (#1890) Add ParamSpec.intake_field and a fail-closed gate that refuses taught-tool parameter values which disagree with operator-registered intake provenance. It expires and is used up by the first run that passes; a replay of the same request_id still returns its run, and the legacy run_ tool can use a grant once. Runs use the proven values, not the caller's normalized spelling. Registration for taught-over-MCP entries is refused instead of silently unchecked. Spec loading that fails when a grant or a declared intake_field exists refuses. One spec/gate helper replaces the duplicated bridge/service code. Adds real-path tests through AgentBridge.dispatch (run_workflow and run_) with a real bundle. --- packages/flow/openadapt_flow/agent/bridge.py | 127 ++++----- packages/flow/openadapt_flow/agent/service.py | 103 +++---- .../flow/openadapt_flow/intake/param_gate.py | 236 +++++++++++++++- .../flow/tests/test_intake_param_gate_mcp.py | 255 ++++++++++++++++++ 4 files changed, 600 insertions(+), 121 deletions(-) create mode 100644 packages/flow/tests/test_intake_param_gate_mcp.py diff --git a/packages/flow/openadapt_flow/agent/bridge.py b/packages/flow/openadapt_flow/agent/bridge.py index 5e90d46ec9..9575f90854 100644 --- a/packages/flow/openadapt_flow/agent/bridge.py +++ b/packages/flow/openadapt_flow/agent/bridge.py @@ -241,9 +241,11 @@ def __init__( self._entries_by_id = { entry.legacy_id: entry for entry in self.catalog.values() if entry.legacy_id } - #: Operator-registered intake provenance per catalog/legacy workflow - #: name.
