From 4bf86c4f8aa81d97a199cd5984159943592bae5f Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: John Safranek Date: Thu, 8 Oct 2026 13:12:07 -0700 Subject: [PATCH] tests: send the highwater IGNORE unkeyed Strict KEX is on by default, and wolfSSH_SendIgnore() refuses an unkeyed send under it. The HighwaterQuietAfterBadPacket test session is never keyed, so it turns strict KEX off on its CTX before the session exists and the final send reaches HighwaterCheck() again. --- tests/unit.c | 3 +++ 1 file changed, 3 insertions(+) diff --git a/tests/unit.c b/tests/unit.c index 60b1d73be..cbd00701f 100644 --- a/tests/unit.c +++ b/tests/unit.c @@ -6702,6 +6702,9 @@ static int test_HighwaterQuietAfterBadPacket(void) wolfSSH_SetIOSend(ctx, CountIoSend); wolfSSH_SetIORecv(ctx, PacketIoRecv); wolfSSH_SetHighwaterCb(ctx, 1, HwTestCb); + /* The session is never keyed, and wolfSSH_SendIgnore() refuses an + * unkeyed send under strict KEX. */ + wolfSSH_CTX_SetStrictKex(ctx, 0); ssh = wolfSSH_new(ctx); if (ssh == NULL) { result = -1951; goto done; }
