Fix bug bash UX issues on sign-up, login, profile and logout - #164
- Redirect to /login after sign-up with the email prefilled
- Land on /profile after verifying a magic link
- Put Edit and Deactivate side by side; hide Deactivate while editing
- Show a red toast on deactivation
- Full page reload on logout
Successful sign-up routes to login with the trimmed email in router state. Login uses that value to prefill the form and show a confirmation alert. Successful magic-link verification routes to /profile. Logout clears session and query caches, then replaces the current history entry with /. Profile layout and activation-toggle controls and notifications also change.

Summary
Sign-up to login handoff js/src/features/sign-up/components/SignUpForm.tsx, js/src/features/auth/Login.page.tsx
Successful sign-up navigates to /login with the trimmed email in signedUpEmail. Login uses that value as the initial email and conditionally displays a confirmation alert. The sign-up success alert and success-message state are removed.
After successful logout, the hook sets session data to null, clears the query cache, and replaces the current history entry with / using window.location.replace.
The activation-toggle button accepts an optional size, and the profile form uses the small size. The profile container changes to size sm. The form adds icons to Save and Edit and keeps the toggle mounted while hiding it during editing or when its prop is false. Activation notifications are green when activating and red when deactivating. Tests cover successful and failed pending status updates.

Patina-Network/patchats#163: It changes the same sign-up and login handoff and verification destination, but uses a different router-state key and changes the sign-up form differently.

Merge Risk: Minimal · up to c00db
The authentication transitions and profile update behavior have no established merge-blocking issue in the reviewed change. Normal checks remain appropriate before merging.
Security architecture risk: Low · up to c00db
The inspected changes preserve existing authentication and self-service authorization controls and strengthen logout cleanup. Remaining uncertainty concerns browser-restored pages and interrupted status updates, not demonstrated new access or privilege.
Retained concerns
No architecture-level concerns identified.
Security review details
Security Blast Radius
inferred — The demonstrated effects are the current browser document's cached data and the authenticated member's profile status. The inspected changes do not provide a new client-selected identity for status updates or move admin authority into shared UI code.
Trust Boundaries and Controls
observed — Logout remains a backend session-invalidating operation. The server invalidates an existing session and clears its security context; client cache clearing and navigation run only after a successful response. The unchanged transport uses same-origin credentials and echoes the CSRF cookie for state-changing requests.
Resilience and Maintainability Implications
inferred — Retaining the mounted control protects same-tree hide/show transitions, not complete navigation or unmount recovery. Mutation tracking and notification callbacks remain instance-local, with no new durable reconciliation mechanism. Comparison shows this interruption limitation predates the PR; exact remount and retry behavior remains unverified.
Hardening Proposals
proposed — Consider session revalidation when a separate protected document is restored from browser history. Clearing the logout document's query client should not be treated as invalidating every retained document. This is defense in depth, not a verified vulnerability introduced by this PR.

Explanation
Docstring coverage is 28.57% which is insufficient. The required threshold is 80.00%. Docstring coverage is scoped to functions touched by this diff with cyclomatic complexity of at least 2. Documentation-only edits and deletions within surviving functions are included; unchanged diff context and fully deleted functions are excluded. Analyzed 7 functions across 11 files.

Review comments at @js/src/features/auth/api/useLogout.ts:
- Line 15: Update the success path in useLogout to clear the cached session
state consumed by useSession before calling window.location.assign, so restored
pages cannot expose a stale signed-in session.
Review comments at
@js/src/features/member-profile/components/MemberProfileForm.tsx:
- Around line 325-326: Keep SelfActivationToggle’s mutation owner mounted when
showActivationToggle becomes false during editing, hiding only its control;
alternatively, lift the mutation state and callbacks above the conditional.
Preserve the pending loading state and ensure the success or error notification
still runs if the member edits or cancels while the request is in flight.

Add a Testing section that explains how the changes were verified, for example
the manual walkthrough or the updated Verify.page test. Add a UI Changes section
with screenshots or a video of the sign-up redirect, the profile button layout,
the red deactivation toast, and the logout reload. Use the template headings
(Summary, Testing, UI Changes) so the structure matches the repository template.
