Why

ADFA-6571: the Extensions Manager titles a bundle's card with its first template's name, so the Fun and Games bundle shows as "Demo (jME)".

What changed

  • templates/Fun-and-Games-JME/templates.json: a new top-level "displayName": "Fun and Games".
  • templates/README.md: documents the optional key in two places, the authoring step ("Write templates.json") and the .cgt format reference. That covers what the key names, its fallback order (displayName, then the first template's name, then the file name), and why IDEs that predate it ignore it. The readers table now says CgtTemplateReader will read displayName.

Compatibility

  • Older IDEs: the New Project reader (ZipTemplateReader) parses templates.json with Gson, which ignores unknown keys, so shipped IDE versions are unaffected.
  • This repo's tooling: addons check and build-cgt.sh only read .templates[].
  • When it shows up: the title appears once the add-ons manager reads the key, which is the CodeOnTheGo side, ADFA-6570. Until then, cards look exactly as they do today.

Related

Verification

  • addons check passes.
  • build-cgt.sh builds fun-and-games-jme.cgt, and its root templates.json carries "displayName": "Fun and Games".
  • Not tested on a device: no IDE build reads the key yet, so there is nothing visible to check.

The Extensions Manager titles a bundle's card with its first template's
name, so this bundle showed as "Demo (jME)". Add a top-level
"displayName": "Fun and Games" to templates.json, and document the
optional key in the templates/README.md format reference: what it
names, its fallback order, and why IDEs that predate ADFA-6570 ignore it.

Use the same displayName as the JME bundle (#141), dropping the
"(libGDX)" suffix.
