Description

This PR fixes the addon publishing failure on AI-Agent-Local by ensuring git submodule entries are safely excluded during source tarball staging.

  • Modified tarball.py to identify and skip git submodule entries (mode 160000) instead of attempting to copy them as standard files.
  • Updated the archive generation process to extract submodule URLs from .gitmodules and automatically append exact clone instructions (including path, URL, and commit hash) to the generated BUILDING.md.
  • Renamed AI-Agent-Local's existing BUILDING.md to NATIVE-BUILD.md to prevent a duplicate file conflict during the build.
  • Added test coverage in test_tarball.py to verify archives properly skip submodules and generate the correct instructional notes.

Details

Publishing workflows will now complete successfully for addons with subprojects. The AI-Agent-Local source archive (ai-agent-local-src.tar.gz) builds cleanly without the llama.cpp files, while keeping the necessary instructions for developers.

Ticket

ADFA-6566

Fix: https://github.com/appdevforall/addons/actions/runs/38926547665/job/117059438921

Publish failed copying AI-Agent-Local's llama.cpp gitlink. The notes now pin
its commit, and the plugin's BUILDING.md is renamed NATIVE-BUILD.md.
