bettio/README.md

Hey there, I'm Davide Bettio! 👋

I'm a developer from Padova, Italy, with a passion for open source and the Elixir/Erlang ecosystem. Currently focused full-time on AtomVM.

If AtomVM helps you or your company, consider supporting my work via GitHub Sponsors.

  • ⚛ Creator of AtomVM: a tiny VM that runs Elixir/Erlang on microcontrollers and other constrained targets.
  • 🦁 Co-creator of Astarte, an open-source IoT platform in Elixir.
  • 🅺 Former KDE contributor (mostly around the early Plasma era / KDE4).
  • 🛠 Into embedded systems since 2003, and still tinkering with weird, low-level stuff just for fun.
  • ⛰️ Outside of coding, I enjoy making sourdough pizza and bread, plus hiking whenever I can.
  • 🐈 Also, I have a soft spot for pallas cats.

I spoke at Code BEAM Europe 2026 about what's new in AtomVM.
