Generated-test statistics can lose the coverage denominator when no candidate compiles or no candidate maps the focal function. Collect a zero-hit baseline using the selected unit-test harness or ordinary library artifact, without adding synthetic unit tests or mixing profiles with real test hits.

Keep target selection explicit: reject function-level integration mode without a library and ambiguous target ownership before model requests. Document unavailable mappings and add regression coverage for conditional compilation, generics, binary targets, profile isolation, and restoration on failure.

Validation: workspace tests, the minimal pipeline, coverage compatibility, task scheduling checks, and the new baseline regression passed locally on macOS. The baseline regression also runs in Linux CI. No external model calls.
