Description

When --benchmark_out\ is omitted, \ ools/gbench/util.py:run_benchmark()\ generates a temporary file via \ empfile.mkstemp().
Previously, the temporary file was unlinked only after both the subprocess execution returned 0 and \load_benchmark_results()\ succeeded. When the benchmark command failed (non-zero exit code), crashed, or produced invalid JSON, the temporary file was left orphaned in the system temporary directory.

This PR wraps benchmark execution and JSON result loading in a \ ry...finally\ block to ensure tool-generated temporary files are unlinked on error exits while keeping user-specified --benchmark_out\ paths untouched.

Fixes #2349

it looks like your description was mangled. based on the header and the mangling i'm going to guess it's AI generated, which means we need a declaration per AGENTS.md.

Hi @dmah42, apologies for the mangled formatting. I have cleaned up the description and added the explicit AI-use disclosure in accordance with AGENTS.md. Thanks for pointing it out!
