Records the measured verdict: dev PER 22.56% (33,429 tokens; string CER 19.70%) on the 3,225-row held-out split, plateau by epoch 3. Not viable as a fallback — and the diagnosis is data, not architecture: the 31,869-pair ceiling was an extraction artifact. The 3.8x v2 corpus and the two-engine wiki self-expansion are already in flight.
