Documents how the
kagentruntime sends PDF and Office files to OpenAI Responses API models, from kagent-dev/kagent#3200 (first shipped in v1.0.0-alpha16), and corrects staletokenExchangeclaims.Send a file to the model: OpenAI gains the section that Azure OpenAI already had. The shared table and link rules move into
assets/kagent-docs/snippets/setup/responses-api-files.md, and both pages reuse it. The 50 MB cap now applies to inline PDF and Office files only, and inline images are named as the one case without aFile:text part. Checked against v1.0.0-alpha17 source.tokenExchange:v1alpha3removed the field, so the API server rejects it before kagent sees it. The OpenAI warning becomes one sentence, and the about-model-providers rejection table loses its row.Upgrade from 0.x: the carry-forward section claimed that
v1alpha3keeps everyv1alpha2field exceptapiKeyPassthrough. It now lists the four removed ModelConfig fields, and the conversion step says to delete them before applying.Worth a close look: the upgrade-page field list, derived by diffing the 0.10.4 and alpha17 API types.
Also: reverts a duplicate sentence on
examples/a2a-agents.md.Reviewers: check the OpenAI and Azure pages render the shared table.
