The agent already greets the user when the session starts, with session.generateReply(). This changes that greeting's instructions to "Enthusiastically greet the user and offer to help." Because it still uses generateReply(), the LLM writes the line in the agent's own voice. This matches livekit-examples/agent-starter-python#116.

The greeting scenario in scenarios.yaml now expects the agent to open by enthusiastically greeting the user and offering to help.

Testing:

  • lk agent simulate text --scenarios scenarios.yaml: 3 of 3 passed. The agent opened with "Hello there! I am so excited to help you today. What can I do for you?"
  • pnpm format:check, pnpm lint, and pnpm typecheck pass. src/agent.test.ts has no active tests, so pnpm test reports "No test suite found", as it does on main.

The agent now speaks first, introducing itself as the user's helpful
assistant and asking how it can help. The greeting scenario checks for
the introduction.
Match livekit-examples/agent-starter-python#116: greet the user enthusiastically
and offer to help, and align the greeting scenario with it.
