OpenProof by TruthX helps people examine complex document sets without losing the thread between a finding, its source, the elements that challenge it, and the human decision that follows.

OpenProof is being developed for legal professionals and other teams examining complex cases in operations, audit, compliance and research.
It is designed to preserve a reviewable chain:
documents → claims → source passages → contradictions and gaps → human review → handover
The objective is not to automate judgment. It is to make the reasoning behind a decision easier to inspect, challenge and transmit.
Our public walkthrough is a fully fictional case: three cofounders, disputed spending, lost customers, conflicting evidence and a financial claim.
- Examine the reconstructed case
- Read the French case brief
- See the public source set and open questions
The findings are prewritten for the demonstration. The example does not claim to show automatic contradiction detection or establish liability.
You do not need a GitHub account to propose a contribution.
Primary path — share your idea through the OpenProof form
Choose Research / contribution, describe the observation or contribution you would like to make, and do not send confidential documents.
Optional GitHub exercise — review one claim in 15 minutes
Identify what the fictional sources support, what challenges the claim, and what remains missing. Reading is open; a GitHub account is only needed to reply.
More ways to help:
- Start here: contribution orientation
- Improve source readability
- Describe a citation check
- Contribution scope and rights
Accepted work is credited to the contributor's chosen public name or handle.
The public Registered Probative Object (RPO) v0.1 is a structured record format for keeping claims, sources, reservations and review decisions connected.
The public repository and its licence apply only to the material contained there. The complete OpenProof application and TruthX Engine are not currently released as open-source software.
Public and examinable
- a bilingual website and fictional cofounder case;
- a draft RPO v0.1 specification;
- fictional reference examples;
- a local structural-integrity checker;
- public contribution exercises and review threads.
In development
- the OpenProof application and document-review workflow;
- progressive integration and evaluation of the research foundation;
- pilot use with human review and explicit acceptance decisions.

OpenProof builds on research collaboration with GREYC / Université de Caen Normandie during 2025–2026.
Under Professor Gaël Dias's academic supervision, Lucy Martin and Clément Correia-Peltier developed a multi-agent research prototype and delivered code, a report and a presentation in May 2026. The prototype is a research foundation; its integration into the current engine still needs to be implemented and evaluated.
Research contributions and credits
OpenProof was conceived and is led by Gersende Ryard de Parcey, founder of TruthX and OpenProof product designer. She connects her experience in organisational transformation and complex decision environments to one operational question:
How can we reconstruct what supports a decision?

OpenProof does not determine truth, law or responsibility. Decisions remain human.
