extract_primary_filter() incorrectly prunes manifests based on time filters even if they are not on P_TIMESTAMP

Fixes #1826.

Description

This PR has:

  • been tested to ensure log ingestion and log query works.
  • added comments explaining the "why" and the intent of the code wherever would not be obvious for an unfamiliar reader.
  • added documentation for new or modified features or behaviors.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Bug Fixes
    • Partial time filters now apply only to expressions referencing the default timestamp column.
    • Expressions targeting other columns are rejected while existing operator and timestamp parsing remain unchanged.

Explanation

The description states the problem and references issue #1826, but the required Description content is missing. It does not explain the chosen solution or key changes, and all checklist items remain unanswered.

Resolution

Add the goal, chosen solution with rationale, and key changes. Update the checklist to confirm applicable testing, comments, and documentation, or explain why an item does not apply.

Full details: Linked Issues check

Explanation

Issue [#1826] requires timestamp pruning to apply to p_timestamp and to the stream's configured time-partition column, while non-partition timestamp predicates remain query filters. The patch accepts a PartialTimeFilter only when expr.column_refs() contains DEFAULT_TIMESTAMP_KEY (p_timestamp). It does not accept a configured non-default time-partition column. The linked requirement is therefore not fully implemented. No added regression test is shown for the configured time-partition case.

Resolution

Update the filter-column check to accept p_timestamp or the configured time_partition column. Keep predicates on other timestamp columns out of manifest-pruning filters and available for query evaluation. Add regression coverage for default, configured, and non-partition timestamp columns on synced and staging data.
