fix(graphql): bound request size and expanded selections - #2121
Bound GraphQL request size before execution on HTTP and WebSocket transports. Apollo and graphql-ws reject documents above 5,000 tokens. GraphQL Armor rejects operations above 100 aliases, a cost of 1,000, or 20 field levels. Cost calculation expands repeated and nested fragments, and schema metadata fields are included.
Why
OS-1073 records a reported request amplification risk. The API had no effective bound on alias count or selection expansion.
Verification
API unit and integration tests: 16 passed. Tests cover normal and rejected HTTP/WebSocket operations, token and alias limits, repeated fragments, and field depth.
API type-check, lint, and production build passed locally on this commit.
Full local suite before this dependency change: 2,210 passed; one VM service suite could not load native @unraid/libvirt in local Node 26. CI must confirm the supported Node runtime and new dependency.
Review considerations
The limits apply regardless of authentication. They may reject unusually large legitimate client documents; current generated client operations should be checked in CI and QA. This PR does not add per-client rate limiting. Installed-artifact QA remains separate from source and CI checks.
The GraphQL API now limits parsed request tokens, aliases, fields, and nesting depth. New tests cover validation boundaries and HTTP 400 responses for oversized alias requests.

Summary
Calculate and validate operation bounds api/src/unraid-api/graph/request-bounds.rule.ts, api/src/unraid-api/graph/request-bounds.rule.spec.ts
requestBoundsRule checks each operation against limits of 100 aliases, 1,000 fields, and depth 20. It counts fields and aliases across selections and fragments, and reports the first exceeded limit. Tests cover boundary cases, fragment traversal, nested fields, and multiple operations.
Apply bounds to GraphQL requests api/src/unraid-api/graph/graph.module.ts, api/src/unraid-api/app/__test__/app.module.integration.spec.ts
The GraphQL module sets a 5,000-token parsing limit and applies requestBoundsRule during validation. Integration tests expect requests with 101 and 2,501 aliases to return HTTP 400 without data.

The new GraphQL request limits apply to HTTP requests but not to WebSocket operations, so the amplification risk this PR targets is still reachable through that transport. The depth rule can also reject valid but unusual queries built from long fragment chains. Close the WebSocket gap before merging; the fragment issue is minor.

Apply the same bounds to WebSocket operations.
When a client sends an operation over the enabled graphql-ws endpoint, NestJS starts a separate subscription service. That service does not receive these Apollo parseOptions or validationRules. A WebSocket query can therefore bypass the 5,000-token and expanded-selection limits. Configure its parse and validation hooks with the same bounds, and cover that transport in an integration test. Minor · Functional Correctness · Quick win
Do not treat fragment count as field depth.
If a query reaches value through 21 nested named fragments, visiting.size exceeds 20 even though the query has only one field level. The rule rejects that valid shallow query as too deep. Keep cycle detection, but calculate the depth limit from field nesting rather than fragment count.
