I QA'd this in dev and attached screenshots below. If staging could not be checked, say why.
Adds a Rust LeetCode auth service that stores credentials in Redis and refreshes them through LASS. The service provides gRPC credential and refresh methods, HTTP health and metrics endpoints, scheduled refresh checks, and local development and deployment support.

Full details: Title check
Explanation
The title names the main change, which is implementing LAS (Leetcode Auth Service) as a Rust service that reads and writes tokens in Redis and calls LASS for refreshes. The changeset adds this service, including its gRPC contract, Redis-backed repository, token refresh manager, config, HTTP health and metrics endpoints, and Dockerfile. The title is long, at 249 characters and 42 words, and its second sentence about the next PR is not needed to describe this change. It still identifies the primary change clearly.
Full details: Description check
Explanation
The description keeps the template's headings and checklist, but it has no description of changes. The checklist items are all unchecked. The Dev and Staging screenshot sections contain only placeholder comments. The description also has no statement of the testing or QA performed. The template requires these parts, so the description is largely incomplete. The author should fill in the description of changes and the QA result, or explain why QA was not possible.
Resolution
Add a description of changes that states what the LAS service does, how it connects to Redis and LASS, and what the next PR changes. Check the checklist items that apply, and record the test or QA result. Attach dev screenshots, or state why they are not available. For staging, attach screenshots or state why staging could not be checked. Mention whether this PR changes the database. If it does, follow the db repo rules.
Full details: Docstring Coverage
Explanation
Docstring coverage is 8.57% which is insufficient. The required threshold is 80.00%. Docstring coverage is scoped to functions touched by this diff with cyclomatic complexity of at least 2. Documentation-only edits and deletions within surviving functions are included; unchanged diff context and fully deleted functions are excluded. Analyzed 35 functions across 24 files. (2 skipped: 2 unsupported.)
Resolution
Write docstrings for the functions missing them to satisfy the coverage threshold.

…e that can read & write the tokens to Redis, and will call LASS for token refreshing. The next PR will include rewriting the main Codebloom backend to talk directly to LAS instead.
Generate protobuf code into OUT_DIR, not src/proto.
build.rs writes generated files into the source tree. This makes every build modify the working copy. The build also fails when the source directory is read-only. Cargo expects build scripts to write only to OUT_DIR.
Write the output to OUT_DIR and include it with concat!(env!("OUT_DIR"), ...) in src/proto.rs. Cargo then needs no committed or git-ignored generated files.
♻️ Proposed change
- let out_dir = "src/proto";- std::fs::create_dir_all(out_dir)?;-- let out_dir = PathBuf::from(out_dir);+ let out_dir = PathBuf::from(std::env::var("OUT_DIR")?);
In src/proto.rs, replace each include!("proto/<file>") with include!(concat!(env!("OUT_DIR"), "/<file>")). Replace include_bytes!("proto/descriptor.bin") the same way.

Update the build output path in build.rs from src/proto to Cargo’s OUT_DIR, and
update the generated-file and descriptor includes in src/proto.rs to resolve
from that directory. Ensure builds no longer write generated files into the
source tree.
